OMG - I think I fell in love tonight!

I know the average person would be chatting about another human being or maybe a pet, but I'm totally hooked on this fabu orange/chocolate gelato I just tried from Madisono's Gelato. Hand made and pack in small batches, it is truly the most wonderous gelato I've had outside of Italy.  In the interest of full disclosure, my most favorite sweet flavor combination in the world is orange & chocolate.  So anyone who thinks enough of the combo to create a whole dessert around it definitely is a wonder in my book!

I encourage you to check them out.  The owner, Matt Madison will set up gelato stations for any event.  Move over Krispy Creme, there's a new unique late night treat for your guests!

Are we having fun or what!

So currently I'm sitting here at the Contemporary Arts Center watching the fabulous the Walnut Hills High School class of 1988 have their 20th reunion.  It's simply too much fun watching them dance to the 80's music and catch up with old friends.  As I look over the crowd, I just know before me that there is a sea of wonderful people who successful and happy.  Congrats and thanks for letting us be a part of your celebration!

Great Tours & Trips

Many of you may not know about the wonderful client tours and trips that we offer.  We are so blessed to have a couple of clients that set us on this path.  We are constantly seeking new offerings and activities for our clients.  Our specialty is "little known" or "behind the scenes" access.  Afterall, everyone loves to go someplace that is not open to the public.  Gosh only knows where we come up with some of them.  Be careful, we may just be knocking on your door one day!

Here is a list of some of clients' current favorite tours:

Adena Springs Horse Farm

The Art of Entertaining

National Museum of the Air Force

Elk Creek Vineyards

Cincinnati Art Galleries

Let us know if we can help you with these or any request.  We have so much fun finding new activities and sharing them with fabulous folks!

Special Event Show, here I come!

Just making my reservations for the Special Event Show in San Diego in Late January!  I can't wait!  Some of my favorite clients and vendors are going and we get to spend a week learning about all that is hip, cool & new in the world of events!  Believe me, a little time in SoCal in January is a great thing, but an even better thing is coming back with loads to share!  Stay tuned for great pics & fab ideas!

Have you gone Facebook?

So I'm trying to keep up with the world and have recently gotten a Facebook page.  In some ways it is really cool. The thing I can't quite figure out is when I have the time to actully use it.  I find it so fascinating that the system automatically shares with you names of folks that you may know!  So if you're on Facebook, look me up & become my friend.  I think it will be a great way to keep up with each other!

Oh So Sweet 16!

Wow!  What an honor it was to plan Liz's Sweet 16 birthday.  I met Liz's mom several years ago through a networking group and when it was time for a party, she gave us a call.  Thanks so much for the jingle.

Now this wasn't a big party, only about 30 of her friends but Mary Beth (Mom) wanted to make sure that it was fun and memorable for her.  After a couple of conversations and a visit to their home, we decided to go for a South Beach Club feel.  The challenge was that their home is more traditional in style so we needed to go in search of a local venue.

Long story short, we found the Anderson Center Station a.k.a. the Metro Bus Park & Ride Station.  It was a great building and perfect for this size group.  Amy Meyer, the township's event coordinator was fab to work with and the building folks couldn't have been more helpful.

Now that we had the place, we had to design the event so it would look a little more posh.  After a conversation with Mom, we determined that the furniture we brought it could be purchased and given as a gift to Liz to decorate her new bedroom.  Win, win for all!  Some food, an awesome DJ, a signature frozen drink, chocolate fountain & a Wii gaming station and the event was bound to be a success!  Everyone danced, played and stayed to the very end.  Overall, quite the memorable Sweet 16!

Thanks to all of the vendors that helped pull this together in just 4 weeks! Special shout out to Maria for her quick & fab sewing skills!

New photos from a fabulous wedding

0199 So while this was a few months ago, I was gifted with these fabulous photos from Laura at Leppert Photography.  This entire wedding was a great experience.  Judy, a.k.a. the mother of bride called to hire us just 3 weeks in advance.  Tricia and Tom (B&G) live in Texas and believe me, Tom is a true Texan!  He loves his Dallas cowboys!  I enjoyed every aspect of this experience, but there were 2 things that really stand out for me.  Dr. Morand gave the BEST father of the bride toast I have ever heard.  He is a gifted story teller and held the entire crowd in the palm of his hand.  Another really cool thing and definitely a first for me was that the wedding rings have circled the globe!  You read it correctly.  Both Tricia and Tom work for NASA and he was able to send their rings into space on a recent shuttle mission.  Wow, how cool is that?!

Flawless Wedding

Taste_of_cincinnati_200x So you mix the Taste of Cincinnati, 3000+ conventioneers, 3 weddings and a fraternity social in one hotel together and what do you get?  Memorial Day weekend in downtown Cincinnati!

I was lucky.  My clients had one of the three weddings held on the Saturday of the holiday weekend at The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza.  Mandy & Jon along with her mom, Joan and I have been working together for 15 months to create Mandy's dream wedding.  You know, the wedding that she had in her mind since she was a little girl.

Simply going by the look on her face as they played the last song of the night, "I've had the time of my life!", I believe we succeeded!  On a personal note, I loved working with Mandy & Jon.  We laughed at every meeting and truly enjoyed the process.

Big kudos to everyone who played!

Featured Vendor - Ford Ellington Floral & Event Design

Angela1OK, so I just have to tell you about one of my favorite florists, Kevin Ford with Ford Ellington Floral & Event Design. Kevin and I have worked together dozens of times throughout the years and I never tire of his creativity and attention to detail.  But the one thing that I think is the most special about Kevin and his team is that they care.  Really, truly care about you and your event.  Every aspect, every time without fail they work to make your event even better than you could have ever imagined.  Kevin LOVES the "WOW" effect the first time a bride sees her bouquet or a client sees their centerpieces.

Treat yourself right and choose to be surrounded with people and vendors like Kevin for your event and there is no way that you'll be disappointed.  Thanks so much to Essenza Studio for the great photo!
